I came up in the ‘60s & ‘70s with the Beatles and British Invasion, Crosby Stills & Nash, Eagles, Pop, Folk-Rock and The Great American Songbook. As an alumnus of Berklee College of Music in Boston, I headed out as a solo artist to San Francisco and formed The Andrew & Hovey Band, opening for Paul Butterfield, Eddie Mony, Junior Walker, Neil Young & Crazy Horse.
On the East Coast I’ve taken the stage with The Left Banke, Mitch Ryder, Harper’s Bizarre, The Myddle Class, The Animals, and in the 1990s-2000s, was in various bands in the Tri-State Area: The Homewreckers (currently), Entourage-Event Band, and road-companies of Beatlemania. In the 1980-1990s I had an ad agency and wrote and produced radio & TV jingles and commercials in NY-NJ.

Thanks for visiting my page. I will help you find and achieve your musical goals. I am an alumnus of Berklee College of Music in Boston, have had a great deal of experience performing, arranging and singing. I have taught in the Somerset Hills Area for over 25 years, and service Basking ridge, Bernardsville, Warren, Long Hill Township, Martinsville, Watchung and Berkeley Heights, New Jersey. We have the option of lessons at my home or yours, depending on the situation.
I have led group classes for Bernards Township Parks & Recreation, Music in The Somerset Hills, and have been an adjunct instructor at The Pingry School. I am not a “shredder", but an interesting guitar player, a singer, and will help you play to sound better while playing & singing, with concentrations on -
Classic Rock - Beatles, Allman Bros., Clapton, Zeppelin, Skynnrd, Rolling Stones, Country, Springsteen, Eagles, Pop.
Folk - strumming or fingerpicking
Blues - Electric or Country-Fingerstyle
Jazz - basics for jazz band, melody, harmony, solos, practice for college admissions.
Some Classical - beginning and intermediate, standard methods & repertoire.
